The short version
Only what Ront needs
We use account, gameplay, security, support, and limited analytics data to run and improve Ront.
No sale or targeted ads
We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
You have choices
Limited analytics is on by default, and you can turn it off or ask us about deletion of personal data.
1. Scope
Ront is operated by Saiko, who is responsible for the personal data described here.
This policy applies to the Ront website, game, Discord Activity, account and waitlist services, and support messages sent directly to us. Discord and other third-party services have their own privacy policies.
2. Data we collect
- Account and waitlist data: details provided by Discord during sign-in, such as your user ID, display name, and verified email when available; your Ront display name, locale, internal account ID, consent record, and any email or signup details you submit. We do not receive your Discord password or keep a long-lived Discord access token.
- Gameplay and communications: characters, progress, inventory, settings, social activity, chat, reports, and messages you send to support.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser or device information, session and login times, authentication events, and diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot Ront.
- Limited analytics: cookieless page views, visit source, selected website actions, sign-in and world-entry steps, coarse level bands, and authored journey milestones. A 30-minute signed visit ID connects a website or direct /play/ entry to authentication; after sign-in, an opaque analytics ID measures the account journey. Analytics events exclude IP enrichment, account, Discord, email, username, character identifiers, chat, coordinates, and free text.
3. How we use data
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing Ront, consent for optional richer diagnostics, and legal obligations. Ront does not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
- Provide accounts, gameplay, multiplayer and social features, the waitlist, and support.
- Secure Ront, prevent abuse or cheating, enforce rules, and investigate faults.
- Understand broad usage and improve reliability and design using limited analytics; collect richer diagnostics only with permission.
- Send messages you request, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.
4. When we share data
We do not sell personal data, rent it to data brokers, or share it for targeted advertising. We disclose data only when needed:
- To providers that operate Ront, including Discord for sign-in and Activities, Cloudflare for hosting and protection (including Turnstile), PostHog for limited analytics and optional diagnostics, and infrastructure providers for storage and processing.
- To comply with valid legal process, investigate abuse or security incidents, or protect Ront, players, and others.
- As part of a financing, reorganization, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice protections.
5. Cookies and analytics choices
Ront uses necessary cookies and browser storage for sign-in security, sessions, preferences, and core operation. Blocking them may stop those features from working.
Ront uses PostHog for limited analytics by default. Website measurement is cookieless; a separate signed, HttpOnly visit cookie expires after 30 minutes and exists only to connect the current visit to sign-in. The game uses an opaque analytics ID after authentication. Ront does not use session recordings, heatmaps, advertising profiles, or automatic capture of every click. You can turn analytics off through Privacy choices in the footer. It also stays off when your browser enables Global Privacy Control or sends Do Not Track as 1.
6. Retention, security, and transfers
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide and protect Ront, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Account and gameplay data generally remains while an account is active; waitlist data remains until it is linked, removed on request, or no longer needed; analytics and diagnostics follow the configured provider retention.
We use safeguards appropriate to a small online game, including encrypted transport, access controls, short-lived credentials, rate limits, and security monitoring. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Ront and its providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, where privacy laws may differ.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data; withdraw consent; appeal a refusal; or complain to a data-protection authority.
Email support@ront.gg to make a privacy request. We may verify that you control the relevant account and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.
8. Children
Ront is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data contrary to applicable age requirements.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Ront, our providers, or the law changes. We will post the updated version here, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@ront.gg.
