Built with you

Come in while it's still being built.

The letter below is why Ront exists at all. Under it is how a change gets from somebody's message to the game, and what went in the last time somebody asked.

From the dev

I'm building the faction PvP game I kept waiting for.

For years my old RO (Ragnarok Online) guild kept telling me to build the game, or at least run a server. My answer was always the same joke: 'yeah, I'll build Ront.' Not-Ragnarok. A whole world of my own.

Well, here we are. I'm one person, and Ront is a love letter to the MMOs that made me feel like I belonged somewhere: guilds, contested maps, a world that didn't care about your wallet, and friends you'd log in just to see.

Ront is independent, early, and rough in places. I share the work publicly, answer players directly, and show when their feedback changes the live build. Future monetization may include cosmetics, but nothing purchasable will affect a fight.

Say hi on Discord

How a change gets in

From your message to the game.

  1. You say it

In Discord, in whatever words you have. This skill feels bad. This map is boring. That death was nonsense. No form, no ticket, no vote.

  2. We argue about it

Out loud, in the open channel, with whoever is around — including the times you turn out to be right and I don't.

  3. It gets built

Most days something goes in. The changes somebody asked for go first, because there is a person on the other end waiting to see it.

  4. You read it back

It lands in the devlog with the date on it, described the way it actually feels to play, and you can go and check.

Built with you

You're not late. Nobody is.

Ront is playable today and unfinished. Saiko ships frequent changes in public, explains what changed, and shows when player feedback reaches the live build.

And every season resets everyone to level one, so whenever you show up, you show up alongside everybody else.

The Discord

Small server, short reply time.

Players discuss drop rates, combat feel, and the maps that need work. Saiko replies directly, and the devlog shows which ideas reached the live build.
