Skills get a face, and the world gets a journal

Icons, a Skills window that fits, quests with one journal, ten stats you assign yourself — and a website with a Play button that works.

Skills stopped being a list of names. They have icons, a window that fits on screen, and tooltips that explain themselves — and an aimed skill now reaches as far as the weapon in your hands.

Quests got a journal that holds all of them, the game learned to point you at a place and draw the trail on the floor, and Renn became the guide who teaches you the Armory and your first Masteries.

Two decisions worth naming. The six classic stats are on their way out, replaced by ten combat stats you assign yourself. And a pile of inherited systems — companion pets, the auction house, clans, cash points — went out the door. None of them are this game.

Also this week: the website went live, you can sign in with Discord, and the game lives at /play.
